The ASNU…type is a non bearing supported roller type freewheel. Bearings are required additionally to support axial and radial loads. Lubrication and sealing must also be provided at point of installation. Nominal outside dimensions are the same the 63..series ball bearings. A typical arrangement is to install this type alongside bearings within the same location tolerances. The inner race is keywayed as with the AS type, however additional side notches in the outer race provide for positive torque transmission.
